Who we are

Sophishan Clipper turns long YouTube videos into short vertical clips. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to hanung1310@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account: your email address and name from the sign-in method you choose (email link or Google).

Projects: the YouTube links you submit, the settings you pick, the transcript we read from the video, and the clips we render.

Credits: your balance and a history of what used or added credits.

Connected YouTube channel: if you connect YouTube, a refresh token that lets us upload clips you choose to your channel, and the email address of that Google account.

Technical: cookies that keep you signed in and remember your language and theme.

How we use it

To run the service: find highlights, render clips, keep your projects and credits, and upload a clip to YouTube only when you press Post and confirm.

The video transcript is sent to our AI provider to pick highlights and write titles. It is not used to train models on our side.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

YouTube and Google data

Posting to YouTube uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting your channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to the data Google handles.

We ask only for permission to upload videos and to see the email address of the account. We cannot read, edit or delete your existing videos.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect YouTube at any time from a project page, which deletes the stored token, or revoke access in your Google account permissions.

Where data is stored and for how long

Data is stored with Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage) and the website runs on Vercel. Clips are processed on our own server.

Rendered clips are deleted 60 days after the project is created. Account data and credit history are kept while your account exists.

Refresh tokens are encrypted and deleted when you disconnect YouTube or delete your account.

Your choices

You can ask us to export or delete your account and its data by writing to hanung1310@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
